2020 Legislative Session Report Cards
Every year, ACLU-WV grades state lawmakers to help voters better understand their positions on the issues important to us. This session, we scored votes on more than 25 pieces of legislation on issues pertaining to criminal justice reform, religious freedom, free speech, defense of democracy, immigrants’ rights, reproductive rights, and disability rights. Prior to any vote, ACLU-WV publicly stated our position on each of these bills on our online Bill Tracker.

2020 Candidate Questionnaires
We also want to give candidates in key races a chance to be heard on civil liberties issues in their own words. So, we have compiled questionnaires for candidates for Governor, West Virginia Secretary of State, House of Delegates, and West Virginia State Senate.
Don't see your candidate's answers listed? Contact their campaigns and tell them that voters deserve to know where they stand on these important issues. Ask them to complete the questionnaire today.
