The West Virginia legislature has just introduced HB 2153. This legislation is even more extreme than the 2015 version of last year’s 20 week abortion ban that passed both the House and Senate only to be vetoed by Governor Tomblin. This year, with the overwhelming shift in the West Virginia legislature, the power of the veto has been weakened.
This extreme bill takes decision making out of the hands of women, their families and their medical providers. Every pregnancy is different. And every woman should have the best medical care available to her without political intervention.
Let your representatives know that HB 2153, the 20 week ban, is dangerous to women in West Virginia and that you're tired of seeing them play politics with women's health.
